Instagram Outfits of the Month! November!

Hey there!

I think this post is going to be a monthly one. I love my iphone and Instagram so I use it a lot.
This month I do not have that many outfits, the reason being that I was working and I had a uniform I wore every day and on my days off I was mostly tired and wanted to stay in pjs and sleep. Let's get on to the outfits though!

Outfit 1
Top - Peacocks
Skirt - Stradivarius
Shoes - New Look

I have worn this outfit a few more times in the past year and I quite like it. It is fairly simple and you can wear it for dinner, drinks and even for a night out. It is definitely a go to combo for when I do not have time to think about what to wear and I would strongly advise you to have a few of those in your wardrobe because they do come handy.

Outfit 2
Top - Primark
Skirt - Primark
Boots - New Look
Necklace - Primark
Belt - Primark

I wanted to see what a skater skirt would look like with tall boots. It was an experiment. I am still not sure about it. I know I prefer skater skirts with ankle boots but the weather is quite old so I am going to go for practicality and tall boots that will keep me warm. I would really like to know your opinion on the matter though. Also I believe the necklace is definitely what makes the outfit and I love how it looks so I hope this trend will be popular for some time. Baroque is such a good trend!

Outfit 3
Top - Primark
Sequin Cardigan - Primark
Leather effect leggings - Stradivarius
Boots - New Look
Ring - Primark
Earrings - H&M
Nails - ORLY Star Spangled

I bought this cardigan last year around Christmas but I never got round to wearing it. So I decided to wear it for karaoke in the pub I usually go to. I got a lot of compliments on in and I was quite pleased with it. It is probably my favourite outfit of the month because I felt sexy and I drew attention to my curves but without showing anything. I will definitely wear it again at some point over the holidays!

Outfit 4
Top - local shop in Crete
Jeggings - Primark
Boots - New Look
Coat - Terranova
Scarf - gift

So, the day after karaoke I was quite hangover and could not keep any food down but the one after that I wore this nice outfit and went with some friends to an art exhibition in the Royal Academy. The theme was Australian art through the centuries and, like all other art, some I liked and some I did not. And then I was really craving sausages and mash and also thought I would go for a walk around Oxford Street. Overall a good day. As for the outfit, it is another go to choice that I wear with little changes for the past five years. It is kind of a classic 'me' outfit.

Nail of the Day - Uptown Glamour by Nails Inc

Outfit 5
Top - Terranova
Skirt - Primark
Cardigan - H&M
Belt - Primark
Boots - New Look
Necklace - Primark

I have mentioned I love roses, right? When I bout this skirt I wanted to find a way to make it work for winter time and this is what I came up with. The top is actually lace because I wanted to have some texture but it was not that obvious because it was mostly covered by the cardigan. The belt helps define my waist and pull the whole outfit together. The comment I heard about my outfit that night (it was a friend's birthday) was that my style showed I have a creative personality. I do, but I can not see how they got that from the outfit. Feel free to explain it to me if you do!

Outfit 6
Top - Levi's
Shorts - Stradivarius
Neklace - Primark
Boots - New Look

Yeah, I do live in these boots. I love them. They are nice and warm. And they were only ten pounds, although that was because they were on sale in August, when people do not really get boots. However, I knew I would wear them in winter, as I am obviously doing, so it was a great bargain. The knit top I think I have since I was 13 or something. It was a gift from my godmother and I still wear it to keep warm because it is very cosy.

Outfit 7
Shirt - Zara
Trousers - Zara
Shoes - New Look
Nails - MODELS OWN Pink Fizz

First day of work in Zara. This was my uniform, apart from the shoes that I had not gotten the uniform ones yet. I did like it as a uniform but having to wear the same thing every day does get a bit boring. Plus you have to do laundry all the time. Anyway, the thing is that I could see me picking that out as a normal outfit as well because I do wear black and blue a lot. Imagine how awkward it would be if someone walked into Zara dressed like the employees.

Outfit 8
Shirt - Primark
Shorts - Stradivarius
Boots - Primark
Jacket - Stradivarius

This was my Doctor Who inspired outfit, from the things Karen Gillan would wear as Amy Pond. I wore this to the cinema for the 50th anniversary special and, before you say anything, I know she was not in it but that was the best I could do as a last minute thing, because I did not have time to plan it in advance. I like the outfit a lot as well, because tartan is really on trend currently and I think it is quite versatile. And yes, that is a sonic screwdriver.

FOOD BONUS!

You already saw the sausages so I thought I would show you some more food. I like food. Food is good.

Starbucks Toffee Nut syrup and Christmas mugs!

Burger and Oreo milkshake

Fish and chips in Chip + Fish

Cheese and wine in the Kensington Wine Rooms

This brings me to the end of this post. I hope you liked the outfits! Follow my Instagram for even more pictures!

Love you very very much!

TAG! This or That!

If you knew me about 5 years ago you would have seen the phase with the tag obsession, where I basically did all the tags I could find on facebook and tagged everyone at school. Well, I stopped doing that but I still love tags! So of course when I saw this post on Aisling's blog I had to do it!
Makeup
Blush or Bronzer?
Blush. I hardly ever wear bronzer and when I do I have been notoriously known for using it as a blush. I just think the E3 shape is a little bit pointless with my hairstyle and, if anything, I want my face to look more around than with sharp angles.
Lipgloss or Lipstick?
Lipstick. I do not really like the feel of lipglosses because they tend to be sticky (with a few exceptions). I think for the lips the colour should be there but you should not feel the product.
Eyeliner or Mascara?
This is a hard one. I always wear mascara but I think I could not live without my Collection glitter gel liners. I love them too much!
Foundation or Concealer?
Concealer. I think with the right colour match I could get away with no foundation if the things I wanted covered were properly covered. That is what I generally do in summer anyway.
Neutral or Colour Eyeshadow?
Gold. I am not sure what category this would go to but if I had to pick one eyeshadow it would be a bright yellow gold one.
Pressed or loose eyeshadow?
Pressed. Just make your life easier.
Nails
OPI or China Glaze?
OPI. Especially the Christmas limited editions. They can be really precious!
Long or Short Nails?
Long. They look nicer and you can fit more nail art on them
Acrylic or Natural?
Natural. I have never had acrylics but I do not think I could be patient enough to keep one colour or so long. And I've heard they also damage your nails.
Bright or Dark?
Bright. Either red of gold. Again that is if I had to choose something forever.
Flower or no flower?
No flower. Unless it is roses. But I prefer other more creative nail art. Everyone has flowers.
Body
Perfume or Body Spray?
Perfume. Do not get the point of body sprays.
Lotion or Body Butter?
Lotion. It absorbs faster.
Body Wash or Soap?
Either. As long as it smells nice. Preferably fruity (no coconut!).
LUSH or Other bath companies?
LUSH. Can not get enough of their bath bombs and bath melts!
Fashion
Jeans or Sweat Pants?
Jeggings is the closest I will get to jeans, with the exception of one pair I have had for ages. I just find jeans too stiff. I like thick leggings much much more.
Long or short sleeves?
Depends on the weather. I do prefer short sleeves though. Ad if it gets cold you add a cardigan.
Dresses or skirts?
Dresses. I prefer the easy styling option but a black mini pencil skirt must always be at hand.
Stripes or Plaid?
Plaid. Stripes can be tricky if you want to hide curves.
Flip Flops or Sandals?
Sandals. They are a bit more steady.
Scarves or hats?
I like hats but scarves are more practical.
Studs or dangly earrings?
Studs. Unless they are a fun dangly pair. Like pumpkins or Christmas baubles or Despicable Me minions!
Necklaces or Bracelets?
Necklaces. I have gone of bracelets in the past year but I always wear a necklace (unless I am wearing big dangly earrings like the ones mentioned  above)
Jackets or Hoodies?
Nice long coats? Leather jackets are cool though.
Hair
Curly or Straight?
Mine are very straight and I do like them but you need some curls every so often.
Bun or ponytail?
I do not really like my hair up but I guess a bun stays better in place.
Bobby Pins or Butterfly Clips?
Bobby pins. Even if I tend to lose them all the time. Does anyone know where all the bobby pins go?
Hair Spray or Hair Gel?
Hairspray. Not too much though. No one likes sticky hair.
Long or Short hair?
Long. End of discussion!
Light or dark?
Dark. But maybe add some colourful streaks from time to time. No permanent changes though.
Side sweep or Full on bangs (fringe)?
Fringe! I love mine and have never gone back to side swept since I got it!
Up or Down?
Down. Always!
Random
Rain or Shine?
Rain. Love the smell of the soil after rain!
Summer or Winter?
Winter! Snow and Christmas!
Autumn or Spring?
Autumn! Love seeing the leaves falling!
Chocolate or Vanilla?
Vanilla! With lemon.
And that is the end of this tag! I hope you liked it! If you do it link me your answers in the comments!
Love you!!!!

Instagram Outfits of the Month! October!

Hello there!!!

So, I seem to have disappeared for a while but fear not! I am here!. I got an iphone and I have been taking loads of photos of my everyday outfits and some of the things I do. It is so convenient!

I thought making a post like this is much more true to my style because you can see what I actually choose to wear on a daily basis. I am not saying that there is a huge gap between that and what I wear when I consciously think I am going to take photos, but you can see the things I gravitate to more. In my opinion they show my personal style a bit more. Anyway, let's get on to the fashion and you will understand what I mean!!!!

Outfit 1
Top - Primark
Jeggings - Primark
Boots - Avenue
Necklace - Primark
Coat - Primark
Lips - Revlon Just Bitten Balmstain in Lovesick

So, getting into the Halloween spirit from the start of the month. I love my little ghost jumper! And I decided to give the coloured trouser for winter trend a go. I really like those jeggings and I have been wearing them a lot lately. So soft and easy to put on! Brown boots with black clothes were a thing I was trying this month. I am not sure about it still, but my brown boots seem to be more comfortable than my black ones.

Outfit 2
Top - Zara
Trousers - Terranova
Boots - local shop
Necklace - Primark

Mainly I wanted to keep warm with this one. I have had all of the clothing pieces for four years now and they have become a got to outfit that I do not need to think about. Warm and comfortable it is.

Outfit 3
Top - Primark
Shorts - Stradivarius
Shirt - Primark
Shoes - New Look
Jacket - Stradivarius
Necklace - Claire's
Ring - Primark
Nails - OPI's Goldeneye

Plaid shirts remind me of the 90s and I thought I would channel my school years with this outfit. Generally I do try to dress a bit more feminine but I have my days that I want to dress like I did when I was younger. Do you think I can still pull it off? I think I can.

Also, I got loads of Halloween stuff! Yay!!!!

Outfit 4
Shirt - H&M
Skirt - Primark
Shoes - Primark
Tights - Primark
Belt - Primark
Necklace - Primark

This was an outfit to go for a nice walk in Notting Hill. It was nice and sunny in the morning so I thought I would be fine. However, it started pouring and I got absolutely drenched. Bad bad choice. Oh well. I do like the leather skirt and shirt look. It looks girly and edgy at the same time. Also I think that it suits my bodyshape too.

And here is Notting Hill as the rain was starting. It is still so pretty!

Outfit 5
Top - Primark
Trousers - Primark
Blazer - Primark
Ankle Boots - New Look
Necklace - Accessorize
Hat - borrowed from my flatmate

This is one of my favourite outfits in general. I love black clothes and I love cobalt blue and I love how it looks together! I wore this for a job interview. I definitely looked the part but I am not sure I will get the job. I need to be less nervous when I go for something like this. KEEP CALM and remember to breathe....

Outfit 6
Top - Primark
Skirt - Stradivarius
Shoes - Primark
Tights - Primark
Necklace - Spitalfields Market

This is my cuddly outfit. I love the fluffy top I got from Primark because it is nice and warm and I like bright red. My friend Maria thought I looked very Christmas appropriate. I think bright red is for all year round. It is bold and sexy and I love it. I also love wearing chunky tops with pencil skirts in daytime. I think it looks quite cute.

Outfit 7
Dress - H&M
Cardigan - H&M
Shoes - Primark
Tights - Primark
Belt - Terranova
Ring - Primark
Necklace - Primark

This is what I wear when I want something feminine with a hint of vintage. Lace and floral patterns make an outfit soft and feminine and the shoes make it a little bit old school. Wearing coloured tights will add a pop of colour and make the outfit more fun. Basically I love it!

Outfit 8
Top - Primark
Trousers - Primark
Cardican - Stradivarius
Boots - New Look
Necklace - Primark
Lips - L'Oreal Color Riche in True Red

What? I have black hair??? Yeap! I thought I needed a change. Do not be scared. It is only a temporary change. The colour should wash off in a couple of months and leave me back with my normal brown hair. As for the outfit, same black trousers as before (I love them) and some roses (typical). Simple but effective. We went for a lovely walk in the park and then got cupcakes from Selfridges.

Don't they look yummy?

Outfit 9
Shirt - Primark
Skirt - Chicwish
Shoes - New Look

Black and red again. Do you see the pattern now? Anyway, this is one of my favourite skirts. It has red roses on it and it is gorgeous!!!!! I decided to pair it with this shirt because the cream lines down the sides of the buttons give some shape to the outfit. The spaceship like place I am is a bar called Sketch just off Regent Street. It is very cool, so, if you are in London, you should check it out!

Sketch again... had to take a picture of the food.

Outfit 10
Dress - Primark
Cardigan - Stradivarius
Tights - Primark
Shoes - Primark
Coat - Primark

This outfit is not very clear but this is just a leopard print skater dress ad I put a cardigan on and the burgundy tights and brown shoes from my lace dress outfit. I went to the London Transport Museum so I think it was a good choice to stay comfortable but still look nice. I also like that the whole outfit looked a little bit old fashioned and blended in with the wax figures that I was taking photos with. I am such a kid when it comes to things like that.

BONUS ROUND

Sailor Mars

Well, I went to London Comic Con with my friends and we did a group Sailor Moon cosplay because we loved that show as kids (and still do but do not let that get out). I was Sailor Mars, who was always my favourite. Most of the outfit was made by me but the shoes are from Primark. Btw, I am not going to say that the reason I have this hairstyle is her but I am not going to deny it either....

Witch

Dress - Bershka
Cardigan - Stradivarius
Pumpkin Earrings - Superdrug
Hat - Sainsbury's
Lips - Revlon Just Bitten in Lovesick and Shiseido in Dragon
Eyes - Sephora Liquid Liner in black

Yeap, finally it is Halloween time! I spent the day with my little cousin, who is five. We carved pumpkins and went trick or treating. Very good day I must say!

And these are the best pumpkins we saw in other houses. Quite cool!

Anyway, this post must finally come to an end. Looking back to those outfits I think I gravitate a lot towards black and red lately. And I particularly enjoy wearing skirts and dresses.

If you liked this post you can follow me on instagram to see things as I post them as I seem to be properly addicted to it now.

As for me, I need to get back to filming and posting regularly again.

Love you all very much!

TAG! How much is my Friday night face worth?

Hey!

So I was reading Aisling's (Total Make Up Addict) blog and she had done a tag that you add up how much all the products you use for a night out cost and you see how much money you would spend if you had to buy them all at once. Yikes. The thing for me is that I tend to do simpler looks on nights out, some eye shadow and glitter eye liner that I know will not smudge no matter what. So on Friday I went to Bounce for a few drinks with my friends and this is what I used for my makeup!

The Products!

RIMMEL Wake Me Up foundation - £8.99
GARNIER Anti Dark Circle Roll On - £10.49
BENEFIT Bad Gal Lash mascara - £17.50
REVLON Just Bitten Kissable Balmstain in Lovesick - £7.99
COLLECTION Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liner in Night Fever - £2.99
MEMEME Dew Pot in Hollow Haze - £7.95
H&M Blush in Spring Flower - £2.99
MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural - £22
URBAN DECAY Oz The Great and Powerful Glinda palette - £35

TOTAL: £115.90

That is not too bad I think. And this is the look I did. It looked nicer in person but the light in my house is weird. You get a basic idea though.

I tag everyone to do this! Even if you do not have a blog. Just add up all the products you used on your last night out and let me know the price in the comments!

Kristine

REVIEW! Pixi Beauty Bronzer in Subtly Suntouched!

Hey!

This is my first Pixi product, which I got as a gift for my birthday last month!

It is marketed as a medium honey tan bronzer, although I must admit I used it before I read the packaging because I was too excited, and judging just by the colour I decided to use it as a blush. It blends very well and looks amazing on skin!

The packaging is very nice, it looks like there is no excess plastic and it also comes with a cute kabuki brush which is easy to use and also fits in my everyday makeup bag. I also quite like the little fairy embossed on the powder itself. It is so cute and fairy tale like.

As for the name, subtly suntouched is definitely not how I would call it. The colour is very natural and it gives a slightly red toned healthy flush. It reminds me more of how your cheeks get a little flushed when you have been in the cold for a few minutes. I do quite like that result, because it makes the whole makeup look natural and appropriate for daytime.

And here is a little swatch for the blush/bronzer. On the left is a very heavy swatch and on the right I have it really sheered out. I would wear it somewhere in between, depending on the look I am going for and whether I use it as a blush or a bronzer for contour.

All in all, this is a very nice product and it certainly makes me want to check out more of their line!
I hope you found this review helpful!

OOTD: Monochrome & Roses

Hello my sweet roses!

Today I have an outfit of the day post for you. I am very excited because I have this lovely brick wall on the roof and it is a great background for some ideas I have! I also am excited because I got to walk around in London Fashion Week on the last day (no, moving, taking wisdom teeth out and having a little cold did not really help to make me plan ahead and get some tickets but I still went to soak up the atmosphere in Sommerset House). Anyway, I am quite excited about some of the new trends (and slightly scared of some others but that is a different story).

A trend that I am very happy to see still going strong is Monochrome. I started styling black and white outfits the summer before it got really popular and I am obviously still obsessed with it. It is something you can easily do with the basics everyone has in their wardrobe. The other trend that I was happy to see again is leather skirts. The hot thing may be leather pencil skirts, but I still like rocking my skater skirt because it is very comfortable and cute. I also decided to add my white rose headband because I love roses and I like the statement it makes.

Outfit!
Top - Primark
Skirt - Primark
Shoes - New Look
Headband - Primark
Necklace - Primark

Makeup!
Eyes - MAYBELLINE Color Tattoo in Edgy Emerald, SEPHORA Liquid Liner in Black
Lips - SHISEIDO lipstick in Dragon
Nails - BUTTER LONDON British Racing Green, OPI Goldeneye
Cheeks - PIXI bronzer in Subtly Suntouched

Also I want to add that I have been wearing these booties every day and I absolutely love them! I would definitely recommend New Look's shoes, particularly anything mid heel from the Wide Fit line. You can walk in them all day and it is like wearing no heels at all!

I hope you liked this post! Let me know what trends you really like!

OPI No Room For The Blues

Hey!

I talked about this nail polish in a couple of videos. After a long search for the perfect bright blue nail polish I found this one in summer. I was very excited about it and I used it quite a bit.

The polish is creamy and applies beautifully, achieving full opacity with two coats. It is an overall good quality polish that will satisfy anyone who purchases it.

I also must admit I quite like a good name for a nail polish. And this one is one of those. The colour reminds me of a clear blue sky on a happy day. Maybe a day by the beach, a picnic or a barbecue. As a result, there is no room for sadness, no room for the blues!

Anyway, I would definitely recommend this polish to anyone looking for the perfect bright blue polish! I am really happy I found it.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know what your favourite blue nail polish is!

Kristine

REVIEW! Urban Decay Oz The Great and Powerful: Glinda and Theodora palettes

Hey there!

A couple of months ago I watched the Oz the Great and Powerful film and then I saw these two palettes in store. I was in the market for some new eyeshadows and I wanted to try Urban Decay's products as well so this was the perfect chance. I've been using them since they day they arrived, so here is what I think about them!

Theodora mostly has neutral shades, apart from the green duo, which is a referrence to when she turns into the Wicked Witch of the West. Glinda has light colours, with shimmer, which reflect Glinda's iconic sparkly look.

In a way the two palettes mirror and complement each other.

GLINDA!

All the Glinda shadows are beautiful, but the one which impressed me most was the white part of Aura. On its own it looks whitish with a hint of blue (look 2) but if you layer it over something darker it changes to a navy blue colour. The liner on eye look 3 below is exactly that! The silver part of Oz too is quite impressive, very pigmented and bright. Tornado and Magic can also create very girly looks (look 1) and remind me of the colours I used when I first started doing makeup as a teenager. Absolutely love this palette for daytime looks!
The eye liner is also very good, it goes on smooth and easy and it looks very good with the shadow colours.
Some examples of eye looks you can do with this palette are the first four below.
The lip pen, on the other hand, was not really the right colour for me. My natural lips are more red toned and it made them look brown instead of nude. As I mentioned in one of my videos, I would rather have a baby pink colour with the palette.

THEODORA!

The Theodora colours are more natural and can create slightly more intense day and nighttime looks (5-8). I find Broken and Beware a little bit chalky but Bewitch and West are quite creamy and I prefer their shades anyway. Spell is also a duo that I would gladly buy on its own for some dramatic going out looks (see look 7). Jealous is also a good duo (look 6) but I know that it can be a bit too colourful for some people.
The black liner is again smooth and creamy and goes on very well.
The lip pen is a bright red that suits me quite well, but it does not have the best staying power. It feels a bit sticky and can stain your lips while at the same time if you eat something it will fade and leave that annoying lip liner line effect. I would suggest keeping it with you and reapplying during the day when you use it.

Sample Looks

All in all, I would recommend the palettes as they are quite good value for money, each priced at 35 pounds. My suggestion, though would be to get both of them and use them in combination, to create even more looks. Let me know if you have tried them or want to try them!

Love,
Kristine
