L'OREAL Color Riche Lipsticks

Hello!
Today I thought of showing you my favourite lipsticks! I found that the ones that work best for me are the L'OREAL Color Riche ones, especially the serum series (first 3).

I got the red one in summer and I basically wore that almost every single day until December when I decided to get a few more colours because they are such good lipsticks!

The shades from left to right are True Red, Radiant Rose, Light Chocolate and Plum Passion. Plum Passion is the only one that's from the simple color riche line (not the serum one) and it's a little bit harder than the others but you can fix that with some lip balm before putting it on.

I found that these stay on for a decent amount of time provided you don't eat anything because then they will come off. But I love the colours and the consistency so much that  I think reapplying my lipstick after a meal or in the middle of a night out during a small trip to the bathroom is totally worth it. Besides, no other lipsticks I've tried have stayed on the entire night and usually they would come off in a way that made my lips look dry. So I think these ones are a lot better!

Here you can see swatches of all four. They are really pigmented so you get a very good amount of colour without having to use a lot of product to build it up which personally annoys me.

All in all, I think these are beautiful colours and I am definitely going to buy more of this series!

Let me know if you have tried them and if you have a favourite shade!

See you soon!

French With A Twist: Sparkly Pink

Hello!

Who loves a french manicure with a twist? I know I do. So I used these colours to create a red-pink glittery manicure that is adorable and will certainly stand out.

I used the light pink colour "Play the Peonies" by OPI as a base for my glitter, then I put 2 coats of "Eenie Meanie Marry Me" from the Justin Bieber collection for Nicole by OPI, then I did my french tip with a red mini OPI polish that doesn't have its name on it so I don't know it and I made a line to sepparate the two colours with a gold nail art pen to give it more definition.

I love "Play the Peonies" as a base colour here because it lightens the fluid of my glitter and makes it pink instead of red. Also as a polish it is creamy and applies very nicely on the nails.

"Eenie Meanie Marry Me" is a beautiful glitter but it does need a few coats because it's very very sheer and fine and it will need a lot of coat to cover the entire nail.

As for this red, I'm not particularly fond of it because I prefer matte reds instead of shimmers but it went well with the sparkly theme of the design. If you can recognise the shade please tell me what it is!

So this is my current twist on the classic french manicure. I think it would be great for valentine's day or for a first date. Let me know if you like it and if you try to recreate it!

Love!

Magnetic Nail Polishes!

Hello!
WHAT? Magnetic nails?
Oh yes!

So when i first heard of magnetic nail polishes I was like " it sounds weird" but then I saw them and I tried them out and they were sooooo good! I was amazed at how easy was to create a magnetic manicure that looks like you put so much time and effort in it!

See? Don't they look difficult? They're not! and I will prove it now!
So basically all you do is paint one coat and let it dry completely and then you paint a thick second coat and quickly you hold the cap with the magnet over it for a few seconds and voila: Magnetic Designs!

Let's see some closeups:

And the product info:
IMagnet by TommyG http://www.gavrilisgroup.eu/en/?about=5&id=27  this a bright gold polish with a glossy finish! (I got it from Hondos Center in Greece)
Magnetized by 17 http://www.boots.com/en/17-Magnetized-Nail-Polish_1236505/ this is a navy blue polish with a matte finish (I got it from Boots in England)

I absolutely love magnetic nail polishes now. If you're still not sure how it works you can watch my video that I demonstrate them!

Collection 2000: Liquid eye liners and blush!

Hello!

I thought I'd show you some Collection 2000 products I got and swatch them for you. :-)

Eye Liners:

I got two liquid liner shades, a silver and a gold one. I love adding some sparkle on my eyes and I love how these two look on my skin. Either you use them for a final touch on a smokey eye or a single colour eye lid they are sure to draw attention to your eyes. I also like using glitter liners during the day on a natural eye shadow so that it gives some sparkle but nothing too exaggerated.

Shades: Hustle (silver) and Funk (gold)
And the swatches:

 Blush!

This blush gives your cheeks a natural rosy/coral glow that is perfect for sunny days and will be amazing in spring!
I love its consistency and to be entirely honest the flower design on top was the first thing that drew my eye to it. I am glad I found it though! Also just to let you know, I prefer using it with my finger instead of a brush before my foundation is completely dry to blend it in better and then I use my setting powder. :)

Shade: Bashful
 Swatch:

Let me know if you try any of these products or some other shades of them and what you think about them!

My Lifesaver! Justin Bieber for Nicole by OPI

Hello!! Happy New Year everyone!

I was in Westfield shopping centre in London the other day and I went to the OPI shop and they had a half price sale for a lot of nail polishes and this was one of those, so I was very excited about it!

Here's one of the nail polishes I got there. It's called "My lifesaver" and it's from the Justin Bieber collection for Nicole by OPI!

This is a very creamy polish and it looks perfect with two coats of it. Also the tip of the brush is curved to take the shape of the bottom of the nails (if you were wondering about the sticker on the cap).
I think this minty green colour is perfect for spring and as far as I know it will be very popular on 2012. I've seen a lot of clothes and accessories in this colour in shops and I think your nails is the best way to incorporate the colour in your outfits if you are not sure this is a shade that you'd wear.

I definitely suggest you go check this colour out anyway and also go see if you can find something you like in the OPI shop sale! There are some really cool polishes there!

That's all for now! Stay tuned for more posts (yes I did a lot of shopping).

Love,
Kristine

Christmas Nails #2: OPI Extra-Va-Vaganza on Coloured Bases

Hello again!
So, I have already shown you how OPI Extra-Va-Vaganza looked like on its own.

Here is what it looks like with one coat over other colours: :-)

OPI Extra-Va-Vaganza + Erre Due Exclusive shimmerry purple

OPI Extra-Va-Vaganza + MaxFactor Nailfinity in Dusky Rose

OPI Extra-Va-Vaganza + H&M Kiss Goodnight shimmerry black

OPI Extra-Va-Vaganza + Sergio Nail Polish No58 shimmerry blue

OPI Extra-Va-Vaganza + H&M Berry Love matte red

Here is how all of them look like. I think the red looks more festive, the pink more girly and the blue and black more edgy. You can do all your nails the same colour or each one different like me or any combination you want. The same top coat glitter will bring the look together.

Till next time,
Kristine

Christmas Nails #1! Berry Love & Confetti Kisses

Hello again! December is here! And with Christmas around the corner I thought I'd start posting some holiday beauty ideas. Let's start with nail polish! I found these two adorable polishes in H&M only for 1,95 euros each!

Berry Love is an adorable rich red colout that is perfect for Christmas! This shade of red reminds me of santa claus, and stockings and it makes the perfect base for the second colour of the collection!

Confetti Kisses is a silver glitter polish with small silver glitters and bigger hexagon ones that make the nails sparkle! The finish is smooth and shinu so you don't need any extra top coat! I think it makes the nails super festive!

I think these two polishes make an amazing combination that will make your nails the show stopper and with no real effort. It is also a good value of money as the quality is quite good and the red can be used all year round without the glitter on top for a more basic look.

Now, if you want a twist in your manicure you can paint one of your nails with a beige polish (I used Basil Street from nails Inc). This will draw more attention to your nails and it can be a fun look to try. especially if you like to be a bit more playful with your nail colours!

You can also do the opposite which is paint 4 nails beige and one red. to draw the attention on the bold colour. You can even do 1 beige and 4 red in one hand and 1 red and 4 beige on the other so that your hands mirror each other. Of course you can also change the base colors, have each nail a different base with only the glitter pulling the look together. It all depends on how daring you are and where you have to go with these nails.

Christmas is supposed to be fun! Experiment and enjoy!

Love,
Kristine
